By accessing or using the Tails Beyond Borders Foundation (“TBBF,” “we,” “our”) website or participating in our campaigns, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Donations, Sponsorships & Online Engagement

When you donate to TBBF:

  • Your donation is handled through secure, U.S.-based nonprofit systems.

  • All funds are tracked, receipted, and used for mission-related purposes.

  • Sponsorships and symbolic recognitions are non-refundable and are intended to build connection, not imply ownership rights.

  • Many employers offer donation matching; check with your HR department to double your impact.

Tails Beyond Borders Foundation is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our EIN is 39-3041061. Donations are tax-deductible under U.S. law to the extent allowed by law. Donation receipts are issued electronically for tax reporting purposes.

All gifts in the Virtual Gift Shop are symbolic representations of charitable support. No tangible goods or services are provided in exchange for these donations. Donations go directly to animal care, and no products will be shipped. Contributions, including virtual gifts, are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

In-Kind Gifts & Donor Tokens

TBBF gratefully accepts in-kind contributions such as embroidery, crochet, and other handmade crafts that strengthen our community of care. These items may occasionally be shared with supporters as symbolic tokens of appreciation.

In-kind items are donated voluntarily to TBBF and become the property of the organization upon receipt. TBBF retains full discretion regarding the use, storage, distribution, or gifting of such items.

Any sharing of such items with supporters is a gesture of gratitude and is never a condition of making a donation.

Supporters who receive an item do so as a symbolic token only, not as a purchase or exchange of value. No goods or services are offered as consideration for contributions.

Appreciation items are not sold, carry no assigned monetary value, and are not refundable, exchangeable, or returnable.

This practice is structured to maintain compliance with applicable IRS regulations and to preserve the mission-focused nature of all contributions.

Refund Policy

Donations are voluntary charitable contributions and are generally non-refundable. However, TBBF will review and correct documented processing errors or duplicate charges upon written request within a reasonable time.

Use of Our Website

By using our site or participating in our campaigns, you agree to:

  • Use the site respectfully and lawfully.

  • Avoid reposting or reproducing our content without permission.

  • Understand that symbolic sponsorships (such as naming an animal) are not a purchase, but a gesture of support.

Limitation of Liability

Use of the website is at your own risk. Modifications to Terms
